Heat transfer technology is particularly well-suited to designs featuring photographic imagery, gradients, or a large number of colours, where the cost of screen printing setup would be prohibitive for smaller production runs. It is also the preferred method for applying graphics to performance fabrics, where the heat and pressure of screen printing can damage delicate synthetic fibres.
